FAQs
I have an idea...can you make it into a new figure?
Yes we can. Belvedere Designs™ is happy to offer custom stick figure design service to all owners of the Master Collection. This design service cost $25 per figure with a four (4) figure minimum and includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions. Belvedere Designs™ retains the rights to resell any graphics and images created by any means available. We will not transfer the exclusive copyright of any design we create. Basically, we create the custom designs for you and retain the right to include them in future clipart packages.
Why do you offer the heads and bodies separately?
Here at Belvedere Designs™ we have over ten years of combined design experience making stick figure graphics and manufacturing vinyl family stickers. In our experience we have found that it is more functional, and less time consuming, to place all the designs on one main file and add a specific head to a specific body each time it is ordered than to have a large database with several sub-levels for each head and each body. We know it is not the othodox way of distributing clipart, but our stick figure clipart is certainly not your ordinary design package and we hope you will benefit from our time-tested methodology.
How do I use this clipart?
Our clipart comes in four different formats: .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .cdr (CorelDraw), .svg (Scalable Vector Graphics) and .eps (Encapsulated Post Script). Each file format contains our stick figures in four different sizes - Adult, Teen, Youth and Child - as well as especially proportioned baby size stick figures, and two sizes of pets. These are the same designs in each size, but the stroke of each figure has been scaled proportionately from adult to child. This allows for perfectly proportioned sizing every time, as well as a uniform stroke throughout all the different sizes for a better presentation and better adhesion.
Open your preferred graphics program; if you are using CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator, you can open the main files directly - you will have to import the .eps or .svg file if you are using any other graphics program. Copy and paste your selected head and body to a new page and place the head on the neck.
- In CorelDraw select both the head and body then use the weld function so that your new figure is complete.
- In Adobe Illustrator select both the head and body then, under the pathfinder tab, combine the two objects using the expand button.
- In any other graphics program use the weld (or comparable) function which is commonly found under an "Arrange" tab.
After the head has been welded to the body your stick figure design is ready for production.
